Als die accountweiten Spielinhalte wie Erfolge oder auch Haustiere angekündigt wurden, hieß es vonseiten der Entwickler:
“Wir arbeiten derzeit an accountweiten Erfolgen, Haustieren, Reittieren und Ruffraktionen. Die Fraktionen und Reittiere kommen allerdings erst nach der Veröffentlichung von MoP mit einem Content Patch ins Spiel”.
Wie hat sich das nun entwickelt? Die Erfolge, Haus- und Reittiere kann man in der Beta testen, während es zu den Fraktionen unterschiedliche Aussagen gibt. Während Community Manager Zarhym noch betonte, dass es keine accountweiten Ruffraktionen geben wird, sagte ein anderer Bluepost aus, dass sie daran arbeiten.
We don’t want to make reputation account-wide. We think that removes too much of the gameplay of having an alt. Harkening back to the blog, the goal is for players to feel free to play their alts. If you have a cool mount on character A, then that might be an issue. Being exalted on character A so that enchants are easier to buy doesn’t seem like the same issue. (What I mean is, it’s a short step from there to saying character A has better gear so you aren’t going to play B).
Die neueste Aussage verneint dieses Feature erneut und diesmal scheinbar endgültig. Dennoch gibt es Hoffnung, da es heißt das mit Mists of Pandaria die Ruffraktionen Spaß machen werden und die Belohnungen, die es dort gibt, sowieso accountweit sind (Haustiere, Reittiere etc.).
